2020 Rewind

© Laura Merritt, 2020 (own photo).

Even though 2020 has been a challenging year and one like no other it’s also been a year where I’ve learned a lot. It’s times like these we’ve saw the worst and very best of humanity and all we can hope for is taking this onward into the new year for a better one to come. It’s been a wild ride of a year, feeling very grateful for family, friends and all of the experiences I’ve had this year. Sending love to anyone who has/is struggling and hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel soon! Wishing everyone such a Happy New Year and wonderful time for 2021! ?????✨❤️

Thanks for the wild ride 2020! Happy New Year! Here’s onward to 2021! ?????✨❤️

Tie Dye

Can’t go wrong with a bit of classic tie dye!

I’ve always really enjoyed doing tie dye for years and since it’s came back into trend thought I’d do some more! And obviously make a TikTok of it because it’s 2020 haha.

4 years of blogging!

Happy 4 year blogaversary to me?

I kind of spoke about this in my last post celebrating 100 posts but I couldn’t not do a post on the actual day of me starting my blog 4 years ago!

Again I did say everything that I wanted to say in my last post if you fancy a read and again I’m aware of in the grand scheme of things 4 years isn’t a lot to some people but it is to me so here we are haha.

Anyway I can’t believe it has been 4 years of this little blog and here’s to next however many haha!

100 Blog Posts!??

This if officially my 100th blog post!

I’m aware in the grand scheme of things this isn’t a lot to some but to me it is so there we go lol. I wanted to start a blog for ages and then finally had to for a module assignment at uni. I’m so glad I did and have managed to keep it up for coming up to 4 years!

It hasn’t always been the most active of blogs and is a mixture of just about anything and everything but that’s life haha. This is just something I enjoy and means I can carry out my love for writing and journaling somewhere as well as daily life.

Just wanted to say I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to read any of my posts or like them as it means a lot and really helps!

On to the next one.

It’s just a little bit of everything ?

Sephora Purchases

When I visited Rhodes in August (which seems like a lifetime ago now!) I was so excited to see that the new town had a Sephora! I’d recently read up on how good their own range of products were so really wanted to try some of them out!

A funny kind of week

Ok so this week has seen bonfire night celebrations, England going back into national lockdown, Fenwicks windows unveiled online (local event), commemorating Remembrance Sunday different to any other year and the positivity and change for better in the world with Biden and Harris winning the US Election.

Being back in national lockdown is back to the strangest of times and it’s starting to feel like Groundhog Day haha, but it’s where we are and fingers crossed for more positive changes/outcomes soon?

Anyway here’s a TikTok I made earlier this week celebrating bonfire night lol

Spooky Season 2020???

Halloween is one of my favourite times of year! It’s always been something I’ve loved celebrating whether it’s big or small and I wasn’t going to let 2020 be change that! It just gives me the perfect excuse for a seasonal face mask haha!

Elegant Touch Nails Review

A couple of years ago I did a review of some stick on nails I loved and went more into how I enjoy doing my own nails on that post, so that’s there for more info.

I recently tried some new nails, Elegant Touch InstaNails and honestly loved them I’ve bought 3 more pairs to keep me stocked up haha.

I had them on for 2 weeks from sorting delivery boxes at work to a tree top adventure and zip line only one came off which is pretty impressive. You also get so many spares and sizes there’s plenty of choice so there’s no issues there!

They stayed in great condition and were really comfortable! They were only £5 as well so you can’t go wrong! I absolutely loved them and think they’re so great when you fancy changing up your nails without the hassle! My new favourite go to.
