Epcot International Festival of the Arts

I had heard quite a bit about Epcot’s very popular seasons before our trip, most commonly Flower and Garden which runs March-June and Food and Wine which runs September-November. However when looking into our trip I realised we would be visiting when the Festival of the Arts would be on as it runs January-March.

That’s the reason behind doing this post as I hadn’t heard of this particular Epcot season and we absolutely loved it.

There were all kinds of activities to be involved with including special PhotoPass shots, live shows and workshops.

All around the World Showcase there were artists paintings to look at and available for purchase, with sometimes a certain artists there to do custom drawings or sign art for people. There were also food locations doing specific art inspired dishes which had things such as an artists palette cookie.

They were plenty of things to get involved with. Our favourite was the paint by numbers, where everyday a huge colour by numbers picture was put up and you went up were given a paint pot, a number and how many squares to paint. Once you painted your numbers you were given a postcard to show what the picture would look like. The picture changed daily and at the end of the day would be finished to see the final product.

Some PhotoPass locations also gave you a chance to step into some art which was really fun and something totally different to do.

Characters to meet around the world showcase also had easel drawings of them at their photo spot, which was a nice touch to keep in with the festival.

For the festival there was also decorations around the park and exclusive merchandise to purchase as a nice way to have a memento of the trip.

I honestly feel this is such an underrated season and I’m so glad we got to experience. I definitely want to go back again for a visit during this time as it was so good!
