The film was such a feel good film, which is needed now more than ever! I laughed so much more than I thought I would and the emotion of the end of the story was the perfect ending you didn’t see coming! I feel like it was a really different style in terms of story in comparison to other Pixar films which made it even more of a stand out film.
One of the main things of the film is the dad wearing purple stripy socks as this is all we see of him for most of the film. I saw online that HappySocks were selling the same ones so purchased some as let’s face it there’s never been a more perfect time for a new pair of comfy socks. I’ve heard of HappySocks for years but never had a pair and I love them! It’s also nice personally as a reminder of the film and the day at the cinema when in lockdown.
I honestly loved this film and would go as far to say it’s one of my favourites even after only seeing it once! We saw it at Odeon and in IMAX, which I had never experienced before and I think that it really did make a huge difference. From the wall to wall screen and surround sound it just brought the film more to life and made you more invested in the ‘quest’. I highly recommend watching it as soon as it does become available! I can’t wait to watch it again and I am so glad I managed to catch it in cinema before the UK went into lockdown.
