Pretty Little Liars Reunion & Virtual VIP with Troian Bellisario

2020 – the year of online reunions/fan fests and meet and greets!

On Friday the cast on Pretty Little Liars held an online reunion with Cast4Good and Looped. You could join to watch the reunion as General Admission and there was also an option to upgrade to a 1-1 call with one of the cast after. It was all done in aid of charity to raise money for Feeding America. So it was great to have something to take part in and also know your money is going to help those in need, especially during these difficult times.

The line up consisted of Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse, Janel Parrish, Tyler Blackburn, Ian Harding and creator Marlene King. It was stated Keegan Allen was unable to join in as he didn’t have a good WiFi connection.

I binge watched the show last year and it became one of my all time favourites! So because I wasn’t watching it when it was still on I was excited to take part in something happening for it now. I also chose to upgrade to a 1-1 call with Troian Bellisario.

It was due to start at 8pm UK time but there were a few issues getting onto the stream at first as there were so many people on it kept crashing. So it was slightly delayed in starting but there was a chat section where you could submit questions for the host to ask to the cast. You were also given a number and put in a queue for your call. I was very impressed with how quickly you were updated by Looped during the process.

The reunion lasted about an hour and it was great to see and hear everyone reminiscing about their times in Rosewood. It was a really good atmosphere and felt like a fly on the wall experience. My question was actually the last to be answered, asking did they take anything from set as a souvenir. It was hilarious to hear Lucy Hale took a poster from Aria and Ezra’s apartment while Ian Harding wasn’t allowed to take the chair.

After the live stream ended, you had to stay on the app and wait for your call. And it did not disappoint. Troian was honestly one of the loveliest people I have ever met, I felt like I was chatting to a friend. She was so genuine and interested in conversation, we chatted about things from life in lockdown to her favourite thing about Spencer as a character. On the app it only gives you so long before it cuts off and were cut off so she rang back to finish our conversation! Which was so unexpected and kind considering she was chatting to quite a few people.

There was a chance to take photos and you get the recording of the call emailed to you! It was such an amazing experience and while I’ve done fantastic meet and greets with people in person I don’t think I’ve ever had such a great personal experience!

If I’m honest I was totally star struck haha Troian is such an amazing actor and director it was quite overwhelming to get the chance to have a conversation with someone so talented and successful.

It was such a positive experience from start to finish and great to see something that brought so much joy also raised money to help others! I hope I get to do something like this again in the future and you never know meet Troian in person haha.

I feel this was the perfect example of that when people say you shouldn’t meet your idols they couldn’t be more wrong!
