Now my mask has arrived I thought I’d write a review on the mask itself!
So to start I’m really impressed with the service from Variant Malibu. My mask was shipped 3 weeks after I placed my order and arrived 2 weeks after shipping. I was really pleased with how quick it came as the masks are made when ordering and not mass produced to avoid waste and with it being international shipping! Shipping time was also estimated when ordering so I was fully aware of timings.
I own quite a range of masks now as I wear them so often, (I wear one all the time when I’m at work as well) and I can honestly say that this is the best mask I own. Both the quality and design are such a high standard.
The mask is a knitted material making it really comfortable, the ear strap also has toggles to make it fit perfectly for you.
As mentioned in my previous post I loved the idea of the mask itself and the company values of Variant Malibu. I think it’s so important during these times that we are protecting ourselves and others whilst making sure products are still made ethically and in the best way to reduce the impact of the environment.
In case you missed my last post here’s an overview. 5 of the main cast members from The Kissing Booth 2 each created their own mask with a personal design and picked a charity important to them in which $15 from each mask sale was donated to.
I have been super lucky and grateful to get the chance to speak to the team at Variant Malibu to find out more about their work and this amazing collaboration with the cast of the hit Netflix film The Kissing Booth 2.
I was really interested to find out how this collaboration came about as it reached fans of the film worldwide.
“The KB2 family reached out through a mutual friend, and they all loved the company’s sustainable vision, our give back to first responders, and our mission to create jobs locally. The actors wanted to give back to charities that they love and support during these difficult times. They all also wanted to encourage fans with unique and fun designs to wear masks to protect themselves and others. We were looking to bring awareness to causes that people may not have heard about, and while covering your mouth, you don’t have to be silent or lose your personality.”
Another aspect that I was hoping to get an insight to was what the hope was for this collection to achieve.
“This is a push to reduce the waste that we’re creating with disposable mask purchases, and an inspiration to protect the amazing fans in a fun and meaningful way.”
As I love my mask so much and they’re here to stay I’ll definitely be ordering another mask as it is a different level of standard to the others I have! With this I was intrigued to know will there be similar collaborations we can expect in the future.
“We’re launching several more collaborations with other influencers, actors, and musicians; our current push is to get the vote out for our upcoming election. Taylor and Joey were instrumental in helping with the design and brought the cost down so the masks could be accessible to everyone.”

They were beyond helpful and friendly and it’s great to know that behind great products there are also great people.
Variant Malibu have just recently launched a range of Mask sprays which help to freshen your mask with a specific scent to help benefit from different things such as calmness.
I can’t wait to see what comes next from Variant Malibu as they have became a favourite company of mine and will definitely be purchasing another mask soon!
