Walt Disney World 2019 Trip Report

I decided to do a little trip report of my Walt Disney World trip as I thought it would be the best way to sum up all of the amazing things we did. Some things I will go into in more detail in separate upcoming posts, otherwise we’d be here all day.

So basically it’s just a little overview of what we did and how we found things.

We spent 10 days at Walt Disney World which was a good amount of time for what we hoped to do. Obviously longer would be amazing but unless I could be there all the time, no amount is long enough.

We flew with Virgin Atlantic which was a first for us. It was such a great experience the plane was perfect for long haul and the food was really good for being economy on an aeroplane. The crew were fantastic on our flight out and made the whole flight an enjoyable experience. On our flight back home the crew were ok but unfortunately the service this time wasn’t the best. Overall we really enjoyed the experience of flying with Virgin Atlantic in all aspects and definitely would fly with them again in future and recommend. We booked our full trip through Virgin Holidays and had an amazing experience with them really helping to make our trip as great as it could be. Again I would definitely book with them again and recommend.

For transport to our resort from the airport and the return journey at the end of our stay, we used Disney’s Magical Express service. It couldn’t of been better, we got checked in with our tickets very easily. The journeys were great on a very comfortable coach and the drivers and staff were really friendly. At the end of the stay we were left all the information we needed on our room door in an envelope to arrange our time and finalise arrangements. I couldn’t think of an easier or better way to start and end your WDW trip than knowing your transportation between your resort and airport is easy and sorted.

During our trip we did many character dining restaurants and got to experience one of Epcot’s amazing festivals. We also made sure we made the most of our time with dining reservations, fast passes and a rough itinerary. (Detail blog posts to follow in future.)

We also made sure we made time to explore our hotel, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, as we were very excited to be staying on Disney property and in such a beautiful resort. Plus on such a busy jam packed holiday it is nice to have a bit of time at a slower pace. (Detail blog posts to follow in future.)

I think it’s fair to say Florida weather can be unpredictable whenever you go, although obviously it still has hotter and colder months. We went in February which to me is so ideal, the weather was generally really lovely. We had a few really hot days with the sun out all the time, we had a few slightly cooler cloudy days and only had one day of torrential down pour. I couldn’t complain about it at all as it didn’t alter our experience as we made sure to check the forecast and make sure we’re prepared.

So I think I’ve covered all of the main parts of our trip, some will be more detailed in future posts. The whole trip was so amazing I could write 50 pages on it all but I think everyone would be pretty bored by then haha.

Hopefully you’ll find the different parts to this trip report helpful and useful if you’re hoping to plan a trip or find out a bit more information.
