Earlier this week I shared the first official blog post I wrote back in 2016. It was titled ‘#WHERESTHELOVE’ and was all about the Black Eyed Peas re-releasing their classic single Where Is The Love due to events happening around the world.
Once again with events we are currently in the song has been getting more airplay again and once again the message couldn’t be more important. In my original post I even referenced the murder of a black man by police in the US, as well as other issues which are also still precedent today. It’s unbelievable and sad that 4 years later here we are still. Very aware this is a problem that is worldwide, has spanned generations and occurs on multiple levels, it’s just shocking to see history repeating itself once again. Hopefully this is the time for change!
The classic image of the ‘?’ has become quite an iconic and recognisable symbol for the song and what it stands for.

I do really hope that going forward the world will be a better place after all we have learned and experienced over the last few months in terms of the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement. It is so important to see positive changes already and hopefully this is only the beginning. It is amazing to see people come together when needed to support each other and it is so important to be on the right side of history!
I really encourage anyone to really listen to the song again, either the original or re-release and listen to the lyrics! They are so apt for right now which shows how long society and the world has faced these different issues.
We’re all just hoping and trying for a better world for everyone in every way because if we don’t who will. Be kinder to people and make changes yourself.
