Gold Forever ✨💛

So I’ve had this blog post drafted for a few weeks to do a little round up of seeing my forever favourite not and back together and live in concert again after 8 years. It was honestly one of the best nights ever and I was so happy to be reliving my 2011 teenage fan girl days.

Never did I think I would have to edit this post due to the do tragically sad news that Tom has died from his brain tumour.

Sadly he didn’t make the Newcastle show as he was finishing treatment abroad but he was a huge miss and was definitely sent live throughout the night with spontaneous chanting his name and cheering.

He was such an inspiration and always spoke so positively.

The below videos are one I made of the concert just after and the other is from the concert when everyone was cheering.

The lyrics to Gold Forever seem to hit differently now.

There’s no words for how sad this is and my thoughts go to his family, friends and the boys.

Spider-Man: No Way Home .. The 1st Marvel Series I’ve Watched

So Marvel has not been something I’ve been into and could literally not tell you one thing about any superhero. Probably not what you’d expect to be the first thing you read when clicking on a Spider-Man review but stick with it. If you’ve read my posts in the past then you know I love Disney/Disney Parks and now with Disneyland Paris having a new Marvel hotel and Avengers Campus opening this year I thought it was finally time to see what it’s all about so I have a bit of a clue what everything means when I go!

The Kissing Booth 3: One Last Time Book Review

Ok so let’s clear up the fact that this is well overdue since the book came out in August but I guess I’ve been trying to prolong the inevitable of writing my last review of The Kissing Booth series and have to come to terms with one of my favourite ever series ending. However what I will say straight away is that it was the best ending and round up of the full series you could wish for as a fan!

As mentioned several times before I’ve done multiple blog posts on The Kissing Booth books and films which you can find on my blog. And while I’ve done a round up of the detours coming to an end I couldn’t not do a bit more of an in-depth look at the final book too!

So here goes.. firstly if you’re reading this and you’ve seen the film but haven’t read the book stop and go read it asap! This might include some spoilers but not giving too much away!

The Kissing Booth 3 – Rounding up the end of an era

So it’s been a week since The Kissing Booth 3 was released and I’m still not over it. And yes I’m nearly 25 and not the target audience but sorry not sorry I absolutely loved this whole series, books and films!

I feel my side note from last years post is still applicable so here it is again: while The Kissing Booth is aimed at a younger audience it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it. Let’s face it rom-coms are everyone’s guilty pleasure! Also as I’ll hopefully point out there’s more to the movie than what it seems on the surface of a teen high school love story. Standing out for itself within Hollywood movies over time. Critics should probably just chill out because if a film is feel good and you can enjoy watching it then I’m pretty sure it’s served it’s purpose! I think we can all agree we could all do with that right now!

I was so looking forward to this film coming out since it was announced at the end of The Kissing Booth 2 fan fest last year. I’ve done lots of Kissing Booth related posts last year including, an overview of the fan fest experience, movie review and a summarised look at the books series which you can find on my blog!

1 year since The Kissing Booth Virtual Fan Premiere!

This week is 1 year since The Kissing Booth fan fest and virtual fan premiere event I attended via Zoom!

It was such an unbelievable experience and crazy to look back on, never in a million years did I think I would be able to be involved with something like that and definitely not from my own home haha!

I wrote more in detail about the full event here: https://lauramerritt96.com/the-kissing-booth-2/

I have also done several book and movie reviews of the series.

The cast were so lovely and very surreal to be meeting them. Hopefully it might happen again in some aspect with the 3rd film coming out next month!?✨

I made a TikTok summing up the whole experience since it’s the reason I got a TikTok account lol which you can find above!

1 Year since Pretty Little Liars Reunion & virtually meeting Troian Bellisario

Today marks a year since the cast of Pretty Little Liars reunited virtually while the world was still stuck at home!

The whole experience was amazing and was for such a good cause. It was one of my favourite things I’ve taken part in and I was also lucky enough to have a 1-1 video call with Troian Bellisario, who was one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met!

The Kissing Booth – Noah’s Story Review

I have been meaning to write a little post about this for a few weeks now, I finally got round to it and it happens to be on the same day as the 3 year anniversary of the first Kissing Booth film being released on Netflix.

It has also recently been the 10 year anniversary of author Beth Reekles writing and posting The Kissing Booth on Wattpad. In celebration of this she announced she was releasing the kissing booth scene between Elle and Noah from Noah’s perspective as a ‘one shot’ story.

SCREENSHOT TAKEN FROM BETH REEKLES OFFICAL WATTPAD. I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING IN THE IMAGE ABOVE.
