You Saved Me ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ“” – ARC Review

You Saved Me is the second book in the Meadow Springs Series by Hillary Leigh. It was released on 27th May 2026 and I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy to read before this.

The great thing with this book and series is that while it is a part of a larger story you donโ€™t need to have read the first book in order to enjoy and understand these characters and their stories.

Image sourced from ARC media kit and given permission to use for the purpose of this review. I do not own anything in regard to the image.

I loved the beginning aspects of this book which I really felt set the tone straight away. The dedication, character playlist, characterโ€™s ages and character art really made an impact on me as a reader ready to start their story. Especially as this was the first book in the series I was reading so I had no prior knowledge to this world and the characters.

The main themes I took from this book were:

  • Friends can surprise you
  • Life is too short to not have fun
  • Living in a small town isnโ€™t the same as living a small life
  • Complicated doesnโ€™t mean it canโ€™t be positive
  • Honesty is always the best option
  • Everythingโ€™s a balance

My first impressions of these characters were that while very complex they were very relatable and lived relatively normal lives.

The thing that really stood out for me with this book is how Beckett isnโ€™t the stereotypical love interest this genre of books is most known for. This was clear to the reader but also to the other character’s straight away, in saying the it is never saw as something negative and actually appears very โ€˜normalโ€™. I appreciated the honesty between the characters and the theme of the importance of relationships whether it is romantic, friendship or professional.

I want to say a huge thank you to Hillary Leigh and the team involved in giving me this opportunity to read an ARC copy!
