This book was a first for me being co wrote by two authors both Jenny and Alexandra. I found it so fascinating that a romance fiction novel could be wrote by two people and was intrigued to see how that came together.
Vacation Situation was released on 30th June 2026 and is the first book in a new series, Evermore.
The book has been self described by the authors as ‘funny, spicy, feel-good summer romance with he falls first, forced proximity and a cozy seaside inn, this one’s for you!’
Quotes that stood out to me in this read were:
“And any entanglement with Frankie Sinclair is going to be complicated at best. Life-altering at worst.”
” There are no guarntees in life, but there are moments that change your life forever. That rearrange everything you were into everything you’re becoming”
They really make you self reflect and can relate to this in some way or another which you don’t always find in this genre of books.
I found the book to focus mainly on the theme that life doesn’t always have to be all planned out and serious. It’s ok to do or want something that might not be permanent and that is not automatically a negative. People are not just defined as one thing ond we’re always learning and changing which can be down to you as an individual and the other people in your life.
I really enjoyed the concept of the book being about a strong independent female lead and the quieter man male character contrast.
This feels quite a vague review but I don’t want to delve too far in and ruin it but I highly recommend it added to your summer TBR list!
At the beginning of the book we got a seperate playlist for each character and one for them together, which I haven’t seen before and thought was/is a great analogy for the whole story.
The book had an array of interesting characters and really helped set up the world of these characters and their lives.
