Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea

Alice in Wonderland is one of my all time favourites and I have always loved it. So much so that my 18th birthday party was wonderland themed. So when I heard you could do a Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea I was there.

Afternoon Tea isn’t normally my sort of thing, considering I don’t drink tea or coffee lol, so I really had no idea what to expect but I was looking forward to all the sweet treats on offer.

The tea is at How Do You Do restaurant and at the time of me going there was a special offer on making it £21.95 for two people which was such good value!

The Vamps Four Corners Tour 2019

Just thought I’d do a little post about seeing The Vamps in concert last week as it was an amazing show and they’re one of my favourite musicians to see live!

This was my 10th time seeing them and I’ve seen them at a range of venues and different sets, from arenas, festivals and summer shows.

I also had VIP Meet and Greet, which I had for the previous two arena tours and had such great experiences and this one didn’t disappoint either!

The show was amazing as always and seems to get better every time I see them! Already excited for the next time I see them again!

Walt Disney World Look Book 2019

This post is a little different for me but thought why not. I feel like outfits are such a big part of a Disney trip and really can help make your trip extra special.

In particular character interactions can hugely be added to with themed outfits or accessories. This has happened to me a few times but one moment that really stand out would be our character breakfast at Ohana. I had a Lilo and Stitch T-shirt and Lilo loved it and spent extra time at our table.

Universal Studios Experience

Whilst our trip to Orlando was mainly based around/at Walt Disney World we also wanted to go to Universal Studios.

We bought the 14 day 3 park explorer ticket with our holiday package but with the way our plans and other factors such as times and weather we ended up only going to Universal Studios for 1 day. However we’re still glad to have had that ticket type as it gave us flexibility and good value.

Even though we only did 1 day we still had a great time and got all the major things we wanted done.

Minnie Van / Lyft Experience

One of my definitely have to do things on this trip was use a Minnie Van, and I can safely say it didn’t disappoint.

A Minnie Van is a taxi service that can take you to and from different locations within Walt Disney World. It can also do an airport shuttle service.

Dumbo at Odeon Metrocentre

I think it’s definitely fair to say this year is the most excited I’ve been for all the amazing Disney films coming out. So I thought why not write what I thought about the film Dumbo, since it’s the first one of Disney’s to be released in 2019!

I was quite excited to see Dumbo because obviously it’s Disney and I love everything Disney. Saying this I haven’t actually seen the original animation Dumbo since I was younger as I have always found it so sad. Therefore I couldn’t really remember the full scene by scene of the film so was excited to rewatch it in live action.

We saw the film at Odeon at the Metrocentre and paid for premier seats so it was a more enjoyable cinema experience. We bought our tickets on the day at the ticket office and had one of the best customer service experiences that I have experienced at a cinema!

Quick Service Dining Plan at Walt Disney World

I think it’s pretty obvious from my previous posts how much I love a Disney Dining Plan and couldn’t imagine a Disney trip without one. This was another thing that was exciting when planning my trip back to Walt Disney World as I couldn’t wait to see what was on offer.

We were lucky that the deal at the time of booking the dining plan was free and as we were staying at a moderate resort (Port Orleans Resort – Riverside) it meant we got the Quick Service Plan.

Epcot International Festival of the Arts

I had heard quite a bit about Epcot’s very popular seasons before our trip, most commonly Flower and Garden which runs March-June and Food and Wine which runs September-November. However when looking into our trip I realised we would be visiting when the Festival of the Arts would be on as it runs January-March.

That’s the reason behind doing this post as I hadn’t heard of this particular Epcot season and we absolutely loved it.

Keys to the Kingdom Tour Walt Disney World

This post is going to be an overview of the tour in terms of what the day was like and our experience of it. I’m not going to go into detail about the specifics of the whole thing or tell any of the facts we learnt as there were so many and I don’t want to spoil the tour.

We definitely knew we wanted to do this after hearing you get to go under Magic Kingdom and see behind the scenes! We booked by ringing Walt Disney World in advance of our trip. The cost is $99 per person for the 5 hour walking tour. I can’t express how good value for money this was I highly recommend.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside

For our trip to Walt Disney World one of our first decisions was where we wanted to stay. I knew we definitely wanted to stay on property, because of all the benefits mentioned in my top tips post, and I stayed on property on my first trip in 2000. I stayed at Disney’s Beach Club Resort then so I thought it would be fun to stay somewhere else as all of the resorts are amazing.

From the beginning when looking through brochures and online one jumped out straight away. Port Orleans Resort – Riverside (POR) looked perfect for the trip we were planning. There are 3 levels of resorts at Disney, Value, Moderate and Deluxe. POR is a moderate resort so was nice to have a bit more luxury but still within our budget.
